Fascinator is the headpiece that is bigger than a barrette. Modern fascinators are generally made of traditional materials such as felt, straw or sinamay and trimmed with feathers, flowers and beads. They need to be fixed to a comb, hairband or hair clip. It can be worn with a generally former attire. Fascinators are very popular at horse-racing events such as Grand National, Kentucky Derby, and the Melbourne Cap. Brides are also nowadays preferred to wear fascinator instead of bridal veil , especially if they are wearing non-traditional wedding gowns . Photo by @aix_photo_narva Model @julia_slolis
